Home Again...
We had a wonderful Christmas with the family! We spent several days in Greenville and then headed to Rome on Christmas Eve. Our prayers were answered and mom was healthy and doing great for the holidays! We made it to Rome with no traffic (thank goodness) and went to the candellight service at church and then enjoyed two relaxing days with the Pearson's.
For those of you who are wondering...I did get my camera a few days early...and I managed to take over 200 pictures in a matter of three days :-). SO, I will post some of these very soon and show off my favorite new toy! For now, I had a fun time working on a slideshow of pics from the year and will post it now. Hope everyone enjoys!
2009 has been a year full of blessings...from our family to yours, we hope you all have a blessed 2010!

10 Favorite Things/People...
OK, I was tagged in this and because of the night I had last night, I decided I should do this...
10. My animals...my pets teach me new lessons every day. I am currently learning not to loose my temper, as both my husband and I did last night with the cat...almost causing him to have a heart attack...no seriously...he has a heart condition! If my poor cat could react that way when we got mad at him, it kills me to think of loosing my temper with my child. SO this is a new lesson and I am working on it. p.s. My husband can attest I don't have much of a temper...but I can loose it so it is a lesson that needs to be learned :-)
9. Food...yes, I am pregnant remember...and I like food A LOT right now!
8. Prenatal Yoga - the most amazing thing EVER! I leave class every Thursday night feeling so relaxed and like I have just had a full body massage!
7. The sweet woman at Colliseum Medical Center - there was a very nice woman at a local hospital who is letting me take a few of my birthing classes there because the schedule was so bad for me at the other hospital. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown over work meetings and prenatal classes in January...but this angel of a woman helped me to move a few of them around and greatly reduced my anxiety :-)
6. Heating pads - my back is getting awfully achy these days!
5. Vacation - I am officially on vacation as of this afternoon and I am SOOO happy to have a week off work to spend with my husband and family!
4. Google -Yes, it is a little odd. But I have been doing a lot of research lately on photography and photoshop in prep for the best Christmas ever and it never ceases to amaze me the wealth of knowledge one can find with touching a few simple keys!
3. Kicks....I love feeling my little boy kick...it makes me smile when I lay down at the end of yoga and he goes crazy...or when Tyler talks to him at night and he immediately responds...or when I sing to him in the bathtub and he starts jabbing (could be him telling me to stop :-). These kicks lets me know he hears me and that he is doing ok in there.
2. My loving and wonderful husband - I don't know if he knows this...but we still have these times where we will laugh so hard over something so silly that we will both end up crying. We did it the other night when he looked just silly in all these winter clothes going to take the dog out and again when he attacked me in the kitchen and tickled me with his stubble. Those are the memories I hold close to my heart and think about and smile on random days...those are the things I remember forever.
1. God - Because He made this little miracle boy grow inside me and get bigger and stronger every day. He brought my husband to me. He brings me peace in seriously stressful time, and He loved me enough to send his Son. What a wonderful gift this and every Christmas.

Baby Moon
Tyler and I had our "Baby Moon" this weekend...it wasn't an ellaborate trip anywhere as we both agreed we have had to do entirely too much travel as of late and just needed to rest. So we decided a weekend at home going on dates and enjoying our favorite restaurants in town was a much better use of our money! We went to Jim Shaw's (our favorite seafood resturant) Friday and then we drove around and looked at Christmas lights. Then on Saturday we went and saw "The Blind Side," an awesome movie for anyone to see, and went to dinner at Natalia's. I had butternut squash ravioli for the first time and was in heaven. We ate entirely too much food, but it was a really nice time together!Tyler reminded me when we got home that it was 28 weeks so I made
sure he got a photo of the 28 week belly right next to the Christmas tree. :-) Sunday we were back to our usual grind...we went to church and the grocery store, and I spent a chunk of the day reading (in one of two photography books I recently got for myself to prepare for the much anticipated Christmas gift from Tyler.)

I don't know what he's up to, but he is thoroughly loving life every time I pick that stupid box up and shake it! :-)
Merry Christmas to all...

I'm afraid I spoil my children...
OK, so I realize I don't actually have a child YET...but up until this point, Roma and Lady have been like our honest to goodness children! You guys know how much my cat has always meant to me. I got him right after college, and he has been with me through a LOT! Ty and I got Lady together and she is our little angel, and much like a younger sibling to Roma.
Well, we usually try not to let the "kids" sleep on our master bed. This rule has gotten a little relaxed as of late though...and Lady and Roma both have taken to afternoon naps with Dad and Mom on the weekends.
We have been trying to really watch our expenses, and I have been trying not to use the heat. We mainly use the fireplace and only start up the heat on really cold evenings. Last weekend was no exception, Ty and I are all bundled up in sweats, watching tv and enjoying a fire when we decide we should go grab a bite to eat. Tyler goes back in the bedroom to get dressed and yells for me to come quick...this is how we found Roma...

I mean seriously...he has a fur coat! How could he have possibly been cold enough to have to get under the blankets to nap? Yes, it's true...I think my children are spoiled...hopefully I will do better with my human kids :-)

3rd Trimester: A Very Active Little Man...
Well, I definitely have a very active little man in my belly! :-) He is kicking more and more every day and now we can actually watch my tummy as it contorts with his movements. Tyler gets a kick out of it :-).
I am very blessed at this point to be entering my third trimester this week and to still be sleeping pretty well, have minimal aches and pains, and really only a little heartburn to speak of. Three more months...it seems just crazy! I am getting more and more excited to meet my little man...he has such a personality already it is amazing! Tyler has been reading to us every night and when he starts reading, Ty goes CRAZY...he kicks and squirms and it feels as though he is doing flips. It is very sweet to see how much Daddy and baby love one another already!
Things seem to be calming down a little bit for us. Mom is doing well and will have to go back on chemo next week. And we are in staying put for a while. Our baby moon is coming up this weekend and we are looking forward to some date nights with just the two of us! I will post some pics from 28 weeks this weekend...just one more week and back to the doctor again :-)
Happy holidays to all!

Thankful...
I have wanted to write this post for a while but life has been a blur for the past few days. We had much to be thankful for this year on Thanksgiving and I wanted to make sure I wrote to let everyone know...
I am very thankful for my husband who literally ran me up and down the highway to visit my mom and the rest of my family while she was in the hospital. He was always patient with me when I overdid it, and tried his hardest to keep an eye on his very pregnant wife.
I am thankful for our wonderful friends and family who have prayed for her constantly, visited her in the hospital over the holiday weekend when I know everyone was SO busy to begin with, and who are a constant support to us both.
I am thankful for our wonderful friends who threw our first baby shower last weekend...pictures soon to follow :-)...I promise!
And I am thankful beyond words to God for his comfort and healing of my mom through her second surgery in less than two months. I was so upset at a few points about mom having to have surgery again that I literally couldn't get the words out to talk about it and all I could do was cry and try to pray. God brought me peace once again and brought our family together for a special thanksgiving in the hospital - she even got to eat some of the massive meal she had ordered from a local caterer.
She is home now and recovering again - I am thankful for all of these things - oh and let me not forget...I am also completely thankful for my little boy who kicks me and plays in my tummy nad provides us all with joy when times look a little bleak. He is our reminder that God is ever present and working on little miracles in our lives every second of every day.
Happy late Thanksgiving everyone!

Back at the hospital
We are back at the hospital today...getting to know this place entirely too well! Mom ended up having to have surgery again today to correct the blockage. Ends up that she had some scar tissue from the last surgery that was causing the problem. She didn't have to have a colostomy bag as her colon seems to be perfectly fine! This will, however, be another long recovery as she still had to have some of her small intestine repaired. She will be in the hospital for the next week or more - meaning thanksgiving and black friday in the hospital! She's not going to be happy about that at all! But we have so much to be grateful for this year - more answered prayers than any of us could have ever believed possible!

A Shout Out to Tiff
We had a wonderful weekend and had a great visit with one of my best girlfriends, Tiffany and her boyfriend Drew. They drove all the way down to Macon just to see the new place, the baby's room and hang out for the afternoon. We planned to watch some football, but Drew is allergic to cats so we decided to hang out at Wild Wing and take in some of the action there instead :-).We had a wonderful time with them and got home in time to watch the very exciting UGA vs. Auburn game! We watched the Alabama game too, although the score wasn't nearly as close. But as a good wife, I wore my Alabama tshirt, with my sweatshirt over it :).
What a good big sister Lady will be!

Progress...
Mom is going home! They did an Xray on her yesterday and apparently the blockage is almost completely gone. They think she is just going to have to watch what she eats very closely and take in very small amounts every hour to keep her tummy from getting too full or too hungry. It will be a learning process, but she is very serious about it and has a plan.
Thank you to everyone again for all of the prayers. We know that God has moved that blockage for her and now we just have to pray for her to be able to learn what to do and what not to do without too much pain in the process.

What a weekend...
We headed to Greenville this weekend because I hadn't gotten to see my mom for her birthday, and she's been so sick, I just felt like we needed to make the trip to check on things. By the time we got to Atlanta, we got a call that they were putting her back in the hospital due to the bowel blockage that was still causing a great deal of pain.
Friday night she was pretty miserable, but by Saturday things were looking up and she was joking and in good spirits. I honestly thought at a couple of points I was going to have to physically restrain her for making a run for the nearest food cart she was so hungry, but they finally let her go on clear liquids later on that afternoon. She had some pain that night, but by Sunday, she was still on fluids and having no pain at all.
Today they put her on some thicker soups and gave her a little ice cream to see how she could do with that, and they are running another x-ray. Mom and I are both wondering if the blockage has worked it's way out. God has worked lesser miracles on her before, and we both know it! The doctors are trying to figure out whether all this is a result of chemo or her disease...we probably won't know for a few more days, but I will keep everyone posted.
Please add her to your prayers - for a speedy recovery and for the doctors to be granted the wisdom to know if she needs more chemo to stop the disease or if her body is reacting badly to the chemo and we need to find a different drug.

SORRY!
First of all, let me apologize for just now getting everyone an update! My mom is doing much better - I swear the woman is a walking miracle! I cannot begin to thank everyone for their prayers! She was able to take in lots of pureed and soft foods over the weekend, and seems to be feeling back to normal for the most part...other than being pretty hungry :-). Her blood pressure was even back to normal today so they decided to go ahead and give her chemo so she wouldn't miss the week...which kind of stinks, but it will mean she still gets the week off next week!
I will keep you all posted on how she does this week with chemo being reintroduced, and again, thank you all so much for your continued prayers! God never ceases to amaze me in His constant healings of my mom!
On a lighter note, Ty and I had a wonderful Halloween weekend with lots of rest and a couple of projects done around the house. Most importantly, we were able to enjoy some quality time together! We bought our first grill on Saturday and grilled out for football, which was fun...a little sad since the stupid Gators KILLED the dogs on Saturday, but still fun. And we
had ONE trick-or-treater! We were NOT happy, but we decided to spend time with our own little ones and make sure they all enjoyed Halloween too!
And for those of you who are wondering...Roma went as a cat for Halloween :-)

Progress
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that mom seems to be doing better today. They sent her home yesterday and told her to only take in fluids for a few days to see if the blockage will resolve itself. They are also taking her off chemo for the week - THANK GOODNESS!
She said this morning that she wasn't in any pain and seemed to be able to take in the fluids without any complications. She went into the doctors office this morning for them to give her more fluids through IV, and then I'm pretty sure they will let her go home for the weekend.
Please keep praying that this will resolve itself this weekend, that she will be able to take in enough fluids and that she will be feeling back to her old self in no time. God has been with her through every step of this battle, and I know He will continue to protect her now. Thank you all so much for your prayers...I know they are being answered!

More Prayers Please...
Mom may have a bowel obstruction and we just found out today she may have to go BACK into the hospital. I know very little at this point but will keep everyone posted. Please help me pray that this is an easy fix for her! I'm low on words at this point so I'll leave it at that and write you all soon.

Yay for a Baby's Room!
I had to work this past weekend ---AGAIN! But I got home on Saturday and had a fun evening and Sunday hanging out with the Pearson's, who came down for the weekend to see our new home.
Now I should tell you all that before I got home to Macon, I found out that my fabric shop sold out of the fabric I had planned my child's ENTIRE room around. Hysteria doesn't begin to describe the "crazy pregnant lady" emotions that thus ensued. My husband didn't understand at all why I would be so close to tears over fabric...I am hoping the other "crazy pregnant ladies" might be able to reassure me that it happens to the best of us :-). Anyway, I got home, got online and luckily found it on ebay...life was good again!
Saturday night Bev and I went and got the paint for the baby's room and then went and did some maternity clothes shopping as I can no longer wear my summer maternity clothes that were so kindly given to me, and my pre-pregnancy clothes are definitely out! We got several very cute things, and I'm feeling well prepared to take on the cold!
Sunday was by far our best day though...my very sweet husband and my VERY sweet mother-in-law painted the baby's room. They decided to torment me and not let me see it until it was finished and they put the furniture back in. I was just giddy when I finally got to see! It is beautiful and exactly what I hoped for! The bedding won't be ready for a while, but the furniture is in and I can start getting creative so I am a happy girl! I'll post some pictures soon...
And a shout out to one of my very bestest friends in the whole wide world...Dini, who got engaged over the weekend and helped make my weekend even more exciting! YAY for happy news!

Ultrasound Pics
It's DEFINITELY a Boy!
Baby Day was a lot of fun! The ultrasound was just amazing, and we are definitely having a little boy! The shots they were able to get were just amazing. You could see specific features and several people have commented that he has my profile. That may be true, but he definitely has Ty's legs, which will be a good thing and hopefully he'll get a good dose of his Daddy's height.
I have gained a few pounds, but the doctor wants me to try to gain some more. I'm increasing my protein and seeing if that helps. The baby is definitely NOT suffering, he's bigger than average right now at 14 ounces so clearly he's getting his calories!
We took some pics of me at 20 weeks...they're not fantastic since I look utterly exhausted in all of them, but still wanted to show off the belly at 20 weeks...Lady said she wanted to be in the picture too :-). I will post some ultrasound pics just as soon as I can get them scanned in!

It's Baby Day!
I woke up this morning 30 minutes before the alarm went off and suddenly realized..."It's Baby Day!" Needless to say, there was no more sleep after that! I turned on the tv and watched my sweet husband for a few minutes before I went ahead and got up to start the day.
For those of you wondering what in the world I am talking about..."Baby Day" is what Tyler and I have started affectionately calling any day where we get to go to the OB or get an ultrasound, etc. Today I get BOTH and am very excited! I'm not nervous at all like the last appointment because now I literally feel the baby kick me every few hours so I know he's in there and getting bigger by the minute. And yes, I have been referring to Baby P as a He for a long while now...it started after my two dreams and was reinforced by the first ultrasound where we were told we were probably having a boy.
Hopefully today we will have that confirmed! I'll try to get on here later this afternoon and post some fun news so keep checking! Love you all!

Updates...
Mom is doing SO much better! I spoke to her this morning and she is sounding like her old self again! She got fluids all day Weds, and half a day yesterday and is starting to eat a little too! I cannot tell you all how grateful I am for all the prayers that have brought mom this far. I know that God has literally had a hand on her through this whole process, and she has been protected more than either of us could ever even fathom!
On a lighter note...I ate a VERY large portion of my coconut milk ice cream last night - it was AMAZING! I am going to put weight on before this next doctors appointment if it KILLS me :-).
However, I am trying so hard to get back to my diet and eat a little healthier. Life keeps throwing kinks in my schedule and with all the travel lately, I have been eating out WAY more than a girl with a sensitive tummy ever should. I've cooked three times this week and am very proud of myself, considering I had 2 night meetings as well!
The baby is still kicking at random times and seems to enjoy our time together in the car :-). We're heading to Rome this weekend for Marie's shower - so fun! I am hoping that the time with Ty will mean that he will get to feel it soon.
Happy Friday to All!

Baby Is Kicking!
Apparently my child is advanced and skipping complete stages in development...at least that is what I am going to tell myself. :-)
I was told I would feel butterflies when I first felt him move...NOPE! I was on my way to Crawford County for a meeting last night and felt the baby jab me. He actually did it a few times before I noticed as my mind was a million different places. By the time I realized what was happening, I was afraid to breathe for fear it wouldn't happen again!
Then, this morning, I was working away and the baby started kicking again. It is so strong, I put my hand down and could actually feel it on the outside of my belly! This boy is tough! Count down...2 more weeks till the next ultrasound!

A little late...
OK, I am a little late with this update because of the craziness that has been our life over the past week...
First, let me say thank you to everyone who has been praying for mom. I am back in Macon now and she is doing better with each passing day. She is still a little down, but I know that will get better once she gets home and off all the meds. Please continue to pray for her. I believe she will be put on solid foods some time tomorrow, and we have to make sure everything is working ok before they will send her home.
Second, let me thank everyone who has been praying for me through this. I was at the hospital for 10-12 hrs every day from Weds - Saturday and didn't catch a thing! I slept for 11 hrs Saturday night and still feel like I could keep sleeping. Hopefully, I'll get some more rest this week.
Lastly, we went to Tyler's 10 year reunion two weekends ago, and I haven't gotten to say how much fun we had! It really was very nice to get to see everyone, and I also got to attend a baby shower for Sarah Dye as well. Let me just say, it was an educational experience and I cannot thank Emily enough for sitting next to me and helping explain what was what. I need all the help I can get! There is a great picture of Sarah, Marie and I below. We are each two months apart so we had to get a progressive pic...

Lastly, and very importantly, to anyone who has not yet heard...we THINK we are having a boy! We had an ultrasound that same weekend, and the tech felt pretty good that we are going to have a little boy. We are just waiting for the OB to confirm so we can feel confident in this, since deciphering those baby pictures pretty much takes an expert. However, this combined with my two successive dreams that I was having a boy definitely makes me feel pretty certain. So I will let you all know as of the 20th what our doctor has to say...until then, I think everyone can be expecting a little Tyer to be running around in a few more months :-).

Surgery...
For those of you who didn't hear yet, mom had surgery on Weds. It was pretty urgent so we had little time to prepare or let people know. She was having severe pain in her abdomen again, but we found out it was two tumors that needed to be removed from her intestines and transvers colon. The surgery went well, but the recovery has been rough. She's getting some blood today and the doctors said this is pretty normal for a cancer patient to need. She's just getting stir crazy and having a rough time keeping her spirits up since she is being pumped full of meds, forced to lay in the bed and not even given ice chips yet. We're hoping by this afternoon, she'll be able to get up and the doctor will allow her to have some ice and fluids. Once she can get out of the bed, I think she will start feeling a little less down.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers, and please continue to pray for a speedy recovery :-)

Baby Belly
OK, we were officially in the new house for the 16 week mark - YAY! My mom came in on Friday and we worked constantly! She helped me get the place clean and get the kitchen all set up, which was a MAJOR project! It is really feeling like home now. I still have some work to do, but the house is definitely liveable :-).
Since, we are at the 16 week mark, I figured I should FINALLY get some pictures online. The first one is of me at 12 weeks and the second is me at 16 weeks.

Now let me first say, I realize the 12 week picture doesn't look like much...but i promise...there is a baby bumb going on! I had an event that night and ended up walking around with my pants undone all night because they were cutting into my tummy! Secondly, I also realize that there doesn't look like a lot of change between 12 and 16 weeks, and there really hasn't been a ton. Honestly, I think a lot of my early bump was pregnancy indigestion...now it is BABY!
Now, Tyler swears that you just cannot tell like this, and so we have also taken some with my belly showing. I didn't want to do this, but he was right, as much as I hate to admit it. The baby belly is much more distinct when not being covered.
So dear friends and family, I am sorry if this offends anyone, but I wanted to share...this is by far the best shot of me at 16 weeks pregnant, maternity jeans and all...

We have a house!!!
OK, so we don't actually own a home...but we are renting one for the next year, which suits us just fine at this point! I have been working on this for the past month and it has finally all come together, and the house is really perfect for us! It has three bedrooms, two baths and a garage...which will help us when Baby Pearson arrives and will also allow us plenty of space for our parents to come and stay with us.While I am thrilled with the new home and the thought of getting all moved in by this weekend...I am seriously struggling with packing, work and pregnancy all rolled up into one. Ty has been trying to get me to slow down and take it easy, but for anyone who has ever moved, it is difficult to "take it easy." I think my part is almost done though...and the boys are hopefully moving us in on Thursday. Wish us luck and please say a prayer that I survive this week without any type of nervous breakdown (I have three meetings at work to prepare for, moving loads every night...ah yes, and cleaning...). Hurry Saturday so this week will be over!

So Blessed...Forgetful...but Blessed
So I wanted to post another of my "previous entries" today from earlier in the pregnancy. But first, I wanted to say I feel like I am loosing my mind! I cannot keep up with anything! There is so much going on right now at my job, with our looming move, with Ty's job...we've been just simply overwhelmed...not to mention being pregnant and all!
Anyway, I managed to forget one of my very best friends in the whole wide world birthday yesterday. It was Ashley's big day...and due to the craziness and what I can only assume is "pregnancy brain" I managed to forget to call her...even though it was on my calendar! I haven't been this upset with myself in quite a while! So here is my public shout out to Ash...the most amazing person, friend and counselor you will ever be so lucky to meet! :-) I love you Ash!
Now here's another post from 4 weeks ago :-)
So Blessed…
I don’t know how, but somehow, my sickness has been quite bearable. I was pretty nauseated for a few weeks, but I’ve learned how to manage it now…and my form of management involves eating every hour and a half and sometimes in the middle of the night.
My mom was sick for 6 months! And didn’t gain a pound until the nausea passed…I’ve been scared to death that was what I was in store for, but I have been blessed to not have that symptom…at least with this child.
My wonderful husband would pretty much drive to the ends of the earth for whatever current craving has taken over…most of the time I just want breakfast food…eggs, oatmeal, egg white flatbread sandwich from Dunkin Doughnuts. The only other craving I’ve been struggling with is pizza, which most of you know is NOT really a part of the whole “gluten free, dairy free” way of life to which I have become accustomed. So I’m holding off on that one as long as I can!
I talked to a few of my girlfriends again this weekend, and was thrilled to keep the conversation from myself…I hate to lie! But just two more weeks and I can tell them.

I'm Pregnant...
So most of you know by now that I am pregnant, 13 weeks at this point! A very good friend complained the other day that I have not posted anything in FOREVER...and I responded "Well, now you know why...I have had one thing, and one thing only I wanted to talk about and I COULDN'T!!!" However, a few weeks ago I wrote a few blog entries about what was happening at the time, knowing that I would post them now. Hope you find this one entertaining...
9 Weeks Pregnant - Last Week of July...
No one could ever quite grasp how difficult it is having the biggest secret in the world…or at least in your own “little world” and not being able to tell anyone about it. Unless of course, you too have been pregnant and tried to wait the 12 weeks before telling everyone. Talking to your best friends in the whole wide world as if nothing is different…pretending not to be MISERABLY sick when all you want to do is complain…and not being able to explain to anyone why you’ve been forced to go to bed for the past few weeks at 8pm because you just cannot hold your eyes open for one more second! This has felt like the longest, most amazing, 12 weeks of my entire life!
Luckily I got to tell my parents at 8 weeks…we knew we had to tell them as we were afraid they would figure it out anyway. It was a blast and the reactions were varied, but all were equally excited to be grandparents!
Ty went with me to the 8 week appointment…I don’t know that I have ever been so worked up about a doctors appointment. I just wanted to know everything was ok, and it was. I have included the first picture below…

The baby is the peanut shaped blob to the right...not too impressive just yet, but there and with an awesome heart beat!
Bless Ty’s heart…he had to be in the room while I had a FULL OBGYN visit…poor thing was in shock I think J. No matter what, I have to say, this was a growing experience. Neither of us could confide in anyone else so for weeks we just itched to talk to one another…but we still may have to reevaluate this whole 12 weeks thing in the future!

Update...
A good friend reminded me today that I have not given an update on mom in a while, thanks Merrit :-). Mom seems to be doing well. She had a little bit of stomach pain with her last round of chemo, but it doesn't seem to be as severe so she's just taking it one day at a time. She's eating well and is putting some weight back on, and that is a VERY positive thing!
Unfortunately, she has a bit of a rash coming up on her tummy. We're hoping that it isn't anything, but this has happened before and may mean a new drug again. Unfortunately, the drugs that work the best also tend to eventually cause mom's body to start reacting badly. We just need a few more rounds, and it looks as though she could go in remission again! So hopefully the rash will fade and chemo can happen again this month on schedule.
In Macon, not too much new stuff here. Ty's still pursuing jobs, and we both are trying to stay positive about all the options! Both of us will just be very happy to be settled in and know what God has in store for the next year...my constant lesson in life seems to be for patience! Thank you all for your prayers, and hopefully I will have more good and exciting news in the next few weeks!

Another Month In Macon...
It is official. Ty signed another month extention today. We will be staying on in Macon for at least one more month! We are grateful this opportunity presented itself, and hopefully, a job will come along within the next month so the last day of August can be his last day to have to wake up at 2:30.

Prayers Please...
Mom went to the doctor today and found out that she is still responding very well to chemo, which is great! Her CA125 is down to 100, another 50 point drop!
However, the doctor has informed her that if she has any more stomach pain, she is to go to the ER immediately! He is pretty confident that she has a kink in her bowels and he is afraid that it could rupture. So if there is any more pain, they are most likely doing surgery. Thus, we need to keep praying! Hopefully the new diet will help her to put the weight back on, and keep her bowels in good shape.
Thank you all for your prayers so far and please keep them coming. God has been with her every step of the way, and I know He will protect her again now. Love you all!

We're Home!
Mom is home from the hospital! She seems to be doing well, and we have her on the new stricter diet imposed by the doctors. I made some soup for her yesterday and she's already had a waffle and this "healthy shake" that is supposed to put the weight on...the only problem is I have now tasted the shake and like it so much I'm afraid I might start drinking it too.
I'll keep everyone posted on how she is doing, but for now, thanks to everyone for the continued prayers. She seems to be back on the mend!

What a Week!
WOW! What a week! I got a call on Monday that the doctors were putting mom back in the hospital. (She had another bad episode over the weekend of getting really sick and not being able to hold food down.) We have been here since then and they will either send her home tonight or in the morning, after they see how she does with more liquids and foods today.
She is a trooper! They put a tube down her throat on Monday to get everything off her stomach and they just started letting her have liquids early this morning. She is pretty darn hungry now and waiting eagerly for her first meal! (We like to eat in this family and it isn't pretty when doctors tell us not to.)
Thanks so much for everyone's prayers! I will post again to let everyone know how she is doing once I get her home and start shoveling some high calorie, easy to digest food down her throat to put some weight back on! Love you all and please keep praying...God continues to bring her through each of these trials with the best results possible and protects her each step of the way!

This is all Merrit's fault...

We went to see our friends in D.C. over the 4th of July and had an awesome time! However, while staying with Brett (one of Tyler's groomsmen) and Merritt (his wife), I got to take a peek at Merritt's blog and am now officially obsessed! Since I have no idea where Tyler and I will be moving and if we will be close to our friends and family, I have decided to undertake this as one of my "summer projects."
