When Did I Become Old...

This is a little late, as Nadine's Bachelorette was LAST weekend...but I wanted to ask the question...when did I become old? Was it the day I had my son??? Or before?? Don't get me wrong, I held my own and made it till 1am one night and 3am the next...but MAN, not without some difficulty! :-)

We had a blast though! A very sweet girl offered her parent's mountain house for the weekend, and we had an awesome time! We celebrated Dini and honestly I enjoyed my time with the girls so much I am even more excited about the wedding now! Don't you just love that kind of thing...we didn't all know each other but you wouldn't have known we weren't all friends for years! OK Dini...counting down...just 13 more days till the blessed event!

And I may get in trouble for this...but I just thought this pic was too cute not to post...does she look excited about tying the knot or what :-)...

And calling all mommies...I need some advice...

My little man is almost 4 months and has hit a phase of no longer sleeping through the night. I thought maybe it was a growth spurt as he is ravenous a little earlier than usual the past few days, but I thought if it was a growth spurt he would be hungry around 4 or 5 am...instead of just getting hungry an hour earlier than usual (around 6am). He seems to be waking around 11:30 and then again around 3...he moves his legs and arms a lot so I thought it was gas but he's not really burping or pooting (that we are hearing anyway). He just seems really squirmy. He has had several big bowel movements early in the morning though so I've been wondering if those have been working through during the night. Any ideas? Any suggestions? I just keep praying that it is a phase that will end very soon!

Slack...

I know I have been very slack with the blog...I need to tell folks about Nadine's bachelorette, and everything with Ty, and on and on...however, life has been crazy, as always. Work is getting busier by the minute and my little boy hasn't been sleeping well, which means I am utterly exhausted most days!

However, Tyler took a video of the little one talking the other day. He is getting VERY talkative and loves to tell mommy and daddy all about his day at school. Here's a fun look into our evenings...

It's Official! My child is a FLIRT!

Well, everyone, it is official! My little boy is a flirt! Aunt Lauren came over last night to play...and for those of you who don't know, Aunt Lauren is a beautiful blonde. Well, my son was a little fussy...his tummy was bothering him a little when she first got there. However, mommy got that stupid burp out, and then he realized there was a pretty girl in the house. LET ME TELL YOU...he just smiled and cooed and cut his eyes at her like he was an 18-year-old looking for a hot date!

I laughed so hard and immediately called his Daddy to tell him that the apple hadn't fallen too far from the tree! I tried to go through the pics I have of him and find one with a flirty glance so everyone could get a glimpse...however, not a single one of the pictures I have captures this "flirty smile"...don't you worry though, it is my new goal to catch the little man in action! For now just imagine those big blue eyes cutting over and a smile turning up at the crook of his mouth before he would bury his head in mommy's chest as if he was embarrased :-)...

Update on Mom

I haven't given you guys an update on mom lately so wanted to post a quick note. Ty and I went to visit our "Honey" over the weekend, and she seems to be doing much better. She is skin and bones onces again, but she is home from the hospital and holding down food quite nicely. I made her eat something every time Ty ate so she was eating pretty frequently!

I made her some eggs and toast and cooked a big pot of soup and defrosted some things I had made for her as well so everything is in the fridge and easy for her to get a hold of. The goal once again is WEIGHT! She is supposed to put on at least 5 lbs before her next doctors appointment so they can proceed with chemo again...I'll keep you all posted. And please continue to keep her in your prayers.

It's kind of sad when she hadn't seen her grandson in 6 weeks due to hospital stays and when we saw her this time she couldn't pick him up :-(. We need our Honey good and strong again so we can kick this cancer's butt and enjoy some special time very soon...got a trip planned for the beach already so we have a goal of fun times ahead!

Ty is 3 Months Old!

It is hard to believe, but my baby boy is 3 months old today! He is getting bigger with each passing day, and his development never ceases to amaze me. He can grab on to his favorite toys now. We've discovered that my baby boy can be tickled, and he has started laughing out loud more and more regularly...the HIGHLIGHT of my life! And he can find me now when I talk to him...he'll actually stop what he is doing and look for me :-).

I know all moms think their babies are brilliant, and I am no exception. I tell him every day he is the strongest and smartest baby boy in the world :-). I love to watch him figure things out and the way he looks at everything with this look of amazement! I am eternally grateful for this amazing gift...my precious and perfect little boy!

Memorial Day

We had a very special memorial day...even if it was raining on and off for most of the day and even if Daddy did have to go in to work :-). When Tyler got up from his nap, we got Ty and took him for his first outing in his baby pool! He wasn't very sure about that water...it was a good bit cooler than his bath every night, but he didn't seem opposed so I have big hopes for what is to come!

Look at that tummy...isn't he just the cutest thing! I mean, I know I might be a little biased, but gosh I think he is just beautiful!

As my favorite bibb says..."Moms, lock up your daughters!" :-)
