WOW! What a week! I got a call on Monday that the doctors were putting mom back in the hospital. (She had another bad episode over the weekend of getting really sick and not being able to hold food down.) We have been here since then and they will either send her home tonight or in the morning, after they see how she does with more liquids and foods today.
She is a trooper! They put a tube down her throat on Monday to get everything off her stomach and they just started letting her have liquids early this morning. She is pretty darn hungry now and waiting eagerly for her first meal! (We like to eat in this family and it isn't pretty when doctors tell us not to.)
Thanks so much for everyone's prayers! I will post again to let everyone know how she is doing once I get her home and start shoveling some high calorie, easy to digest food down her throat to put some weight back on! Love you all and please keep praying...God continues to bring her through each of these trials with the best results possible and protects her each step of the way!
