I have wanted to write this post for a while but life has been a blur for the past few days. We had much to be thankful for this year on Thanksgiving and I wanted to make sure I wrote to let everyone know...
I am very thankful for my husband who literally ran me up and down the highway to visit my mom and the rest of my family while she was in the hospital. He was always patient with me when I overdid it, and tried his hardest to keep an eye on his very pregnant wife.
I am thankful for our wonderful friends and family who have prayed for her constantly, visited her in the hospital over the holiday weekend when I know everyone was SO busy to begin with, and who are a constant support to us both.
I am thankful for our wonderful friends who threw our first baby shower last weekend...pictures soon to follow :-)...I promise!
And I am thankful beyond words to God for his comfort and healing of my mom through her second surgery in less than two months. I was so upset at a few points about mom having to have surgery again that I literally couldn't get the words out to talk about it and all I could do was cry and try to pray. God brought me peace once again and brought our family together for a special thanksgiving in the hospital - she even got to eat some of the massive meal she had ordered from a local caterer.
She is home now and recovering again - I am thankful for all of these things - oh and let me not forget...I am also completely thankful for my little boy who kicks me and plays in my tummy nad provides us all with joy when times look a little bleak. He is our reminder that God is ever present and working on little miracles in our lives every second of every day.
Happy late Thanksgiving everyone!

Lindsi, I am so happy to hear your mom is doing better. We've been getting occasional updates through the Rome grapevine! And I am so so so sad and so sorry we weren't able to get down to Rome to come to the shower. I was so looking forward to celebrating with you, but at least none of us got the swine flu by trafficking with my parents! I will send your present with my mom to Mrs. Pearson!
