Surgery...

For those of you who didn't hear yet, mom had surgery on Weds. It was pretty urgent so we had little time to prepare or let people know. She was having severe pain in her abdomen again, but we found out it was two tumors that needed to be removed from her intestines and transvers colon. The surgery went well, but the recovery has been rough. She's getting some blood today and the doctors said this is pretty normal for a cancer patient to need. She's just getting stir crazy and having a rough time keeping her spirits up since she is being pumped full of meds, forced to lay in the bed and not even given ice chips yet. We're hoping by this afternoon, she'll be able to get up and the doctor will allow her to have some ice and fluids. Once she can get out of the bed, I think she will start feeling a little less down.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers, and please continue to pray for a speedy recovery :-)

  1. Sending good thoughts from Wyoming. I know when my mom had sugery a few years ago she felt pretty down til she started being able to do stuff again. Hopefully that won't take your mom too long.
