Yay for a Baby's Room!

I had to work this past weekend ---AGAIN! But I got home on Saturday and had a fun evening and Sunday hanging out with the Pearson's, who came down for the weekend to see our new home.

Now I should tell you all that before I got home to Macon, I found out that my fabric shop sold out of the fabric I had planned my child's ENTIRE room around. Hysteria doesn't begin to describe the "crazy pregnant lady" emotions that thus ensued. My husband didn't understand at all why I would be so close to tears over fabric...I am hoping the other "crazy pregnant ladies" might be able to reassure me that it happens to the best of us :-). Anyway, I got home, got online and luckily found it on ebay...life was good again!

Saturday night Bev and I went and got the paint for the baby's room and then went and did some maternity clothes shopping as I can no longer wear my summer maternity clothes that were so kindly given to me, and my pre-pregnancy clothes are definitely out! We got several very cute things, and I'm feeling well prepared to take on the cold!

Sunday was by far our best day though...my very sweet husband and my VERY sweet mother-in-law painted the baby's room. They decided to torment me and not let me see it until it was finished and they put the furniture back in. I was just giddy when I finally got to see! It is beautiful and exactly what I hoped for! The bedding won't be ready for a while, but the furniture is in and I can start getting creative so I am a happy girl! I'll post some pictures soon...

And a shout out to one of my very bestest friends in the whole wide world...Dini, who got engaged over the weekend and helped make my weekend even more exciting! YAY for happy news!

  1. What color is the room? Where are the pictures?

You need to put up a pregnancy ticker on your blog so I can always check how far along you are. Otherwise I have to find my phone where I have it written down and count backwards from me. And pretty soon that won't work anymore.
