Mommy Help Please...

Mommies PLEASE help!

My little boy has always been a great sleeper...but here lately, when he is going down to sleep at night, he sleeps for about an hour and wakes up fussy...then again an hour later, then again an hour after that. It never takes me very long to calm him...and I'm pretty sure it is gas...as this has been an ongoing problem for us. I'll pick him up and a little burp will come out or a poot. If anyone has any pearls of wisdom, I'd LOVE to hear them!

We use mylicon after his dinner...anything else??? Tired, working mommy needs ideas! :-)

  1. Oh geez! I haven't got a clue what to tell you! This has long been my fear. We'll just pray!

  2. Charlotte had lots of gas and it's usually something they just have to outgrow. But, if you use Mylicon, try it before he eats. My ped and everyone I know who used it said that it only works to prevent the gas from forming and that it won't help at all once the gas is already in there (ie: after he eats). You can also try Gripe Water. I know many, MANY people who swear by it. It didn't work for us at all but I'm apparently the only one who had trouble with it. It made Charlotte projectile vomit after about 1 minute. But, like I said, I know about a million people who swear by it. You can get it at pharmacies (but our Target doesn't have it).

    Good luck!

  4. Okay, not that I have that much wisdom to impart of my own, but I read this book called Baby 411 that does a great job of explaining the science behind a baby's sleep. You might want to check it out. I've read that one, Babywise, Baby Whisperer, and Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and I like that one the best :) Good luck!!
