Happy Birthday Ty

I have tried several times unsuccessfully to upload a photo I took of Ty today, but I promise lots of birthday pictures soon---no matter how long it takes!

In the meantime, I had to share that I have been a bit emotional today and feeling very sentimental! My baby is 1-year-old! I walked in his room this morning singing Happy Birthday and he scrambled to standing as fast as he could and literally jumped up and down on the crib mattress :-)! It was adorable! I thought to myself, there is no way this child actually knows what "Happy Birthday" means, but it was still a very special moment.

I made him a spcial birthday breakfast (french toast), and his Daddy laughed at me last night as I was preparing it but I have learned some times Daddy's just don't understand that this is what mommy's are for. We make special things for those we love on special days...and on not-so-special days some times too :-).

I stayed home a little later than usual so Ty could watch his favorite cartoon and then we went to school. I'm working through lunch AGAIN so I can get off early and spend the entire afternoon with my boy and play outside while it is still pretty! Then tomorrow I am off as well for a full day of fun!

So to my special little boy...mommy loves you more than you could ever imagine! One day you'll know just how much when you have a little boy of your very own. I am so grateful that God trusted your Daddy and me enough to give you to us, and I am so happy that one year ago today I was at the hospital preparing to meet you for the very first time. You are my smiles, my happy thoughts and all of my hugs! Happy Birthday Angel!
